Conservation began in the spring of 2022 on the sculpture of the Virgin Mary, the first sculpture to be treated. This sculpture was removed from the altarpiece (photo 1) and transported to the Kanut Conservation and Digitisation Centre, where it is being deposited in a special climate chamber to prevent damage that may be caused by changes in temperature and air humidity levels (photo 2 and 3).Continue
